Book Club Love

One of the best experiences in having a book out is connecting with readers, and I've been honored to be in touch with two book clubs who have chosen Murder and Marinara as one of their selections.

Cover_lateFebruaryOne club that meets in my home state of New Jersey actually "won" me in a silent auction at their annual Books Lovers Luncheon. I was graciously invited to one of their meetings, where they served me a wonderful dinner made with recipes from the book. We dined on pasta with--what else?--marinara sauce, a luscious pesto, a salad with arugula (and no poison, I was assured) and homemade bread. Many thanks to Katy for hosting, Lynn for arranging, and Daru, Gwen, Patty, Susan, and Laurel for feeding me and making me feel welcome.

Out in sunny California, the Dolce Vita di Libro, a culinary and mystery book club, not only cooked recipes from the book, but took it many steps further: members dressed as characters from the story!

From left to right: Dona as a typical Jersey girl (not can of spray tan); Lois as Sofia--how much do you love her T-shirt? and Jennifer as an inspired version of Nonna.

That right there is some book club love. Thank you again ladies--for your wonderful sense of humor and for honoring my book in such a special way!

I love visiting with other book lovers. If your book club meets in New Jersey and you'd like to arrange a visit, feel free to contact me through the site.
